An energy conversion from fossile fuels will not be sufficient – the conversion into a more circular economy will be as important as the energy conversion to save the climate.
Ellen Macarthur Foundation has estimated that a circular conversion can remedy 45 % of the worlds climate emissions.
Material Economics assessment of the circular conversion is even higher, as they estimate that 60-70% of the worlds climate emissions can be remedied from a circular economy.
That’s why we say that a circular economy is half of the solution to the climate crisis. The problem is how efficient we will be able to circulate what’s been produced – a probleme we offer a solution to.
